A Commemorative - The Quilt at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, made by Lucy MacEachern of Jacksonville, FL. Lucy is an accomplished quilter, and has worked tirelessly to create Patriotic Quilts for our Veterans & their families. Encouraged to undertake the task by her friends at the Jim Fortuna Senior Center, the quilt was presented at a ceremony in the rotunda, and hangs there at the facility. It has become a favorite place to take family photos. The seals of all the US Military Services are represented.
The Cemetery is located at 4083 Lannie Rd., 32218 on Jacksonville's north side. From the East Beltway 295, going north, exit at Lem Turner Rd., turn Right ( East) and continue to Lannie Rd. - big Sign - turn right, and Cemetery will be on your left.
The Quilt hangs inside the main office building, past the Carrillon, as you enter the site. Look online for Hours, and Events. https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/jacksonville.asp There is plenty of available parking.
